POLICIES & EXPECTATIONS

By enrolling in courses at Kristie Wright School of Dance you are committing to both creativity and discipline. We believe in transforming lives through the art of dance in classes that provide a strong technical foundation, taught by qualified teachers, focused on age-appropriate classroom strategies and movement. Students are expected to attend consistently and comply with studio etiquette. See below to read and understand our expectations of students and parents. We’re excited to move and grow with you!

All enrolled students and their guardians must agree to the following:

Each class has specific expectations regarding dress code. As a general rule, hair needs to be pulled back, tights/leotards clean and in good condition, and shoes appropriate for each class. Talk to the office for details on color of each item. As you share about your love for KWSD, please do not reveal information that compromises the studio or any personal information about students or teachers, including pictures/videos of the studio, students, faculty, staff, or choreography without permission.

I acknowledge and consent to allow Kristie Wright School of Dance to use: photos and/or videos of my child(ren)/myself in publications (including but not limited to flyers/brochures), advertisements (including but not limited to newspapers or online ads), annual recital video, our studio’s website, or on social media sites (including but not limited to the KWSD Facebook or instagram account). I understand that in some cases, my child(ren)'s and/or my name may be used. I further understand no financial compensation will be given for use of these photos/videos.  I do further release Kristie Wright School of Dance, its officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all liability arising from, or related to, the use of said pictures, images or likeness, including, but not limited to any claim for compensation for the use, re-use or sale of said picture, image or likeness.

I understand that tuition is due in full by the first day of each month regardless of the amount of classes I choose to have my child(ren)/myself attend, or regardless of the number of classes in the month based on the dance year calendar as long as my child(ren)/myself is enrolled at Kristie Wright School of Dance.  I understand that tuition not paid by the 8th day of the month will incur a $10 late fee added directly to the family account. I understand that there will be a $25.00 fee charged for any payments returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds. Tuition may be paid in advance (eg two months at a time, quarterly, etc). Tuition is non-refundable. New students or students who have discontinued and are returning will pay a $25.00 registration fee. Tuition payments may be made by cash, check, credit or debit. Automatic and online payments are also available.

In consideration for being allowed to enroll as a participant at the Kristie Wright School of Dance, I do hereby release and discharge its proprietors, teaching staff, agents and assigns from any and all liability, cause of actions, costs, charges, claims, expenses, and demands on account of or in any way growing out of any and all personal injuries and property damages incurred by me as a result of or in the course of my participation in any activity (including, but not limited to class, trips, competitions, and demonstrations) while a participant with the program. By signing below, I hereby expressly assume any and all risks, which are incumbent with the realization that these activities might subject me to personal bodily injury or property damage risks. Additionally, for the stated consideration, I further agree forever to refrain from suit or proceeding at law or in equity or otherwise against the above named parties, either severally or jointly with any person, in account of, or in any way growing out of any personal injuries and property damage as stated.

A minimum of four weeks notice must be given if your child(ren)/you are planning to discontinue dance or are dropping any classes at Kristie Wright School of Dance. If the four week notice is not given, tuition will be due regardless. Until notice is received, we will assume that your child(ren)/you are still enrolled and tuition must be paid by the 1st of the month.
